Miao Loves Samsung Galaxy S2!!

::The following advertorial is brought to you by Samsung::

::Do not try this at home or anywhere::

Beside having powerful Dual Core Processor and a vivid Super Amoled Plus screen, the super slim 8.49mm thick and lightweight Samsung Galaxy S2 is robust and tough. With the Gorilla Glass screen, the Samsung Galaxy S2 screen can withstands a certain level of force. One of the reason I bought Samsung Galaxy S2.

In case you don’t know what is Gorilla Glass, do check out the video below.

Here’s another video, a Crash Test done on Samsung Galaxy S2 and Iphone4S.

So have no worries if you accidentally drop your Samsung Galaxy S2 :)

I actually dropped mine a couple of times already but no serious dent were found :D.

Yep! The Samsung Galaxy S2 is pre-installed with SWYPE. It’s an application that let you swipe and move your finger around the letters to form the word you want instead of typing them out. It’s actually a lot faster and easier to text with SWYPE.

And last but not least..

VLINGO (Samsung Galaxy S2 version of SIRI) !!!!

And it works like one :D

It’s  great to have one when you’re driving or your hands are pre-occupied or just showing off around. Hahaha..

So if you’re planning to upgrade or change a new phone, wait you waiting for..

For more information on all others features Samsung Galaxy S2 can offer..

Garage Walk @ Singapore F1 GP & Lifestyle Event @ 1Altitude

Sorry for the inconsistency in the photo quality, style. It was taken with various of cameras, including phone camera as my lens broke down on the first day in Singapore T3T.  Oh,  all the awesome one are taken by Tian Chad. Do check out his site ya , maybe you can find my photo there ^^

Alvin supposed to be able to join us for the Garage Walk but due to some unfortunate and unexpected issue, he couldn’t go along and had to give his place out.

After we gathered up, Alvin brought us to meet the F1 personnel who will be bringing us inside the F1 Garage area.

You need a VIP card to get in and there’s a strict security check at the entrance which is similar to the security check at the custom.

In case you’re wondering, the garage zone is the area where the pit stop is, the place where they change the tyres for the F1 cars and also the paddock area behind the garages.

Here’s Anita Nyers, the LRGP Liaison officerwho brought us around the garage zone.

The Directory

The Hospitality suite area

Each team has their own hospitality suite where the crew and the driver of the team rest and watch the race.

And here’s ours. The Lotus Renault hospitality suite.

And the lady was very nice enough to invite us in to have some drinks.

It’s a nice place, everyone just chilled and sat down and looking at the race and result on the TV.

At the same time, we bloggers were…

doing our jobs XD

After a while, the lady came back and gave us each a pair of this.

It’s the communication set the crews are using and we need to wear this in the garage as the noise from the F1 cars were way too loud.

We were told that phototaking and cameras are not allowed in the garage. This is to protect each team’s technology and interest.

Then again, we’re bloggers, how can we not take photos and so here’s some photos TianChad secretly took.

Even though Anita told us, cameras are not allowed, yet she still camwhore with us XD. Hahahah…

We were super duper whooper lucky as it was breaktime and we managed to see the F1 cars in the garage and also witness the crew members perform some maintenance works on them. ^^

It was awesome!! :D

And maybe its break time, suddenly people just popped up from nowhere and chilling outside.

The lady let us walked around the area, took some photos before letting us leave and so we did.

There were quite of numbers of interviews going on in there too.

Poor guys still need to work during the break.

 Peggy, The thy-dowager blogger.

After walking around the place for almost half an hour, it was time to go.
By right, the whole session only last for half an hour but we’re lucky to have ours for 1 and half hour :D

Due to that we were running late for the PROTON lifestyle event at 1 Altitude. What makes things worse was…

We went lost in the circuit park.

After almost another 20 minutes of walk, we ended up at a different exit, Gate 1 Exit.

In the end, we managed to arrive at 1Altitude but were 1 and a half hour late missing out the speeches and opening of the party. The place was glamorous.

Luckily, the food was replenish time over time and we managed to grab our dinner there.

And it was superb, the food was awesome good. I heard from the gang that the best dish was the braised beef but too bad I don’t eat beef.

The drinks were fabulous, from soft drink to cocktail to whisky. From what I heard, there were 200 bottles of champagne alone for the night.

Almost anything you can order they have it. I actually gave the waiter a hard time when I asked him to get me “anything will do”. hahaha

After the meal and hanging out with the gang, we went to the rooftop.

It had a totally different feel, it basically a rooftop club/pub. Everyone was chilling and chating around while enjoying the music with a glass of drink in their hands.

 The DJ of the night~~

Group shot.

From left: The random guy in mask, Peggy and TianChad.

We later took a walk around the place and met Yasmin Hani there.

She’s such a lovely lady. Didn’t manage to take a photo with her tho T3T but managed to have a small chat with her. *happy*  Oh, heard that she’s getting married soon! Congratulation to her!

Just around the corner, we found Jojo sitting on the sofas.

Then, JoJo went: “TianChad~~ Y U HERE?!

I was thinking: ” Fuu TianChad famous!!

Jojo then asked TianChad to have a photo with her and without any notice…

suddenly TianChad was interviewed. LOL

After the interview, we had a photo with Jojo. Such a friendly person :D

We continue to walk around and take some photos. It was so high up that I managed to spot a couple of Singapore iconic buildings and structure. Well, you can even see the whole race track from up there.

Oh hai, Marina Bay~~ *waves* See you in November. XD

The scenery was breath taking that I must take a pic with it.

with my face censored :P

Arrr… how I wish to go there again, sitting down and enjoy the scene.

PROTON really put up a really awesome party for the guest that night.

Thanks again to PROTON for the invite!! :D

Proton/Lotus-Renault GP Showcase Clarke Quay & Singapore F1 Race

A photo of us on the MRT

It was my first time to Clark Quay at night and the view was amazing.

The lights and the colors was just beautiful. So beautiful that I was too busy looking around and forgot to take any photos. T_____T I didn’t know until I transfer my photos and find no image of Clark Quay.

Then again, I love the place very much. Hope I can revisit the place again, sit down by the river and drink some tea. :P
After lurking around the place for a while, we

who brought us to the Proton Lotus Renault event at the center of Clark Quay..

which was quite easy to spot especially with the big logo on the wall. XD

Oh, in case you don’t know, we were actually invited by Proton to witness their showcase in Clarke Quay and to join them in their support for the Lotus Renault F1 team in the Singapore Singtel Grand Prix 2011. PROTON is supporting their subsidiary Group Lotus who are the title sponsors for the Lotus-Renault Grand Prix team..

There were quite a number of things to see there.

 Lotus Renault merchandize.

The Lotus Renault F1 showcar

(Limited edition Satria R3 Neo in the background)

 The Lotus Evora

The SIC grid girls were there too

There’s something else that caught our eyes, it was this big steel thingy called a Batak machine. Its actually a reaction/reflex machine, where 12 pressable buttons will lights up one by one and you need to hit/press it as much as possible in a 1 minute.

There is two modes to play with, solo mode and competitive mode where you can compete with each other to get the most points possible.

Its seems like so much fun that TianChad and I went and gave it a try.

I did my super duper whooper move but in the end still lost badly to TianChad. T3T
Then again, it was very fun XD

There was actually two official competitions where the person with the highest points in the first section gets to win him/herself a ticket to PROTON’s lifestyle event, Black&Gold Mystique Party at 1Alttitude and a ticket to watch the race on Sunday in the second section of the competition.

Quite a number of people tried it.

Even the Singapore Blogger, Peggy and her boyfriend.

And surprisingly, her boyfriend won the competition with 63 points and able to attend the party at 1Altitude with her.

We took a group photo with Peggy before they left.

Tian Chad and I in the other hand had our dinner with the PROTON guys while waiting for Miss Australia, Scherri-Lee Biggs who is the ambassor of PROTON Australia to arrive.

Before we can finish our dinner, she arrived. And goshhh she’s simply gorgeous.

The host had a short interview with her

OMG!! She looked into my camera. Fainted

After the interview, she went and try out the Batak Machine.

And she won over this random guy and she was wearing a dress that time.
Awesome~ XD

It was very entertaining. She left right after that and we get back to our dinner.

And Alvin from Proton was super nice to treat us a meal. T3T

Oh, check out the passes given to us, not only one but 3 days passes!!!

And so, we went to watch the Final Race on Sunday night.

People mountain people sea~~

Grab some snacks before proceeding to our seats.

There were a lot of people chilling out there before the race start.

 Paw 5!!

 Lots of Humans

 The stage

Everyone stood up straight for Singapore National Anthem.

After a short introduction of the racers and the grand prix, the race started. Everyone was cheering and the next thing you know, the sounds of the F1 cars were here. Yes, just the sound. It was so loud, you can hear it few corners away.

I almost got deaf when I was next to the track when they drove by. (Seriously, get a earplug when you’re there)

Everyone was staring at the track waiting for their arrival. The roars got closer and Vrrrrrrommm!! There, they were in front of us…

Everyone just stood up and watch the cars in amaze.

Just in a few seconds time, they were gone.

In their absent, there were screens everywhere for us to follow up with all the actions at other side of the tracks.

It was not long before they showed up again…

Eh, it’s our team, the Lotus Renault!!

The whole race took around an hour and a half to end. I even rode a Caparo T1 supercar before but this was my first time watching a F1 race. The thrill and excitement were not any lesser especially one trying to take over another car.

It was an awesome experience!! Thanks to Proton Malaysia for such an opportunity to watch the Singapore F1 Grand Prix.

P/S: Remember to wear light and shorts to the Race. Its freaking hot. T3T especially when you wear jeans like us
