Just press the nails on to the itchy spot making a cross. Some how it feels less itchy. ^^
I was not alone! My senior did the cross too!!!

LOL! It’s amazing that we learned to do the same thing on our own without anyone teaching. 
Anyone else here did the cross thing on mosquito marks, bug bites, chicken pox.. any itchy bump before?

I did the cross before I know how to talk.. @@” I even use the straw to make “circle” mark before The Cross is boring. hahahahaha.

I do that too! It was my piano teacher who taught me that…maybe when I was 8 or 9? I think she taught me to make just a line through the bump, and I added more and more lines to it in all directions (when it’s really itchy). Before that I think I slapped sharply on the itchy area…when it stings it feels less itchy

Nah, the crossing method has been around for a long time, so I think it’s rather common for our elders to teach us that. Recently someone taught me another method. Try putting counterpain on it! Lol. I think any other cooling cream / gel will work too.

My mom taught me that method and many of my friends do that too.. But I find it becomes itchier when I do that.. I still prefer scratching it~ XD

i use my nails to press the ‘bump’ but is not in cross shape. I press it as many as i could to stop the itch as long as possible =) this way could prevent scars~~

Well… I did crossing it at first too but I find scratching them seem to ease the itch much more better. The common problem of scratching is leaving scars. But my uncle tought me a long time ago of a scratching method without leaving scars. It’s by scratching the bump with the top side of ur nails instead of the usual bottom nail side. So it’ll be like scratching outwards from yourself instead of inwards just like strumming a guitar. Sounds a bit funny but you don’t need to move your arms anyway. just the fingers XD Just make sure ur nails are clean, evenly trimmed and filed neatly
